    For (S)ATA devices, you must update your firmware using installer version 4.2 or later. (This was released on July 5, 2007.)
  • Linux, kernel 2.6+ or FreeBSD, version 7 or later.
  • sg3_utils
  • Make and GCC
  • For successful usage, changes to your kernel configuration may be required. See the installation instructions for more details.
